Position Description
The Department of English at Colby College invites applications for a three-year visiting appointment in pre-1800 British Literature, to begin fall 2023. For this position we seek a scholar with demonstrated teaching excellence and strong publications to deepen our offerings in early literature from a range of historical, theoretical, and comparativist perspectives. Candidates might specialize in medieval, early modern, or eighteenth-century literature. We are especially interested in candidates whose work engages the environmental humanities or premodern critical race studies.
