Medieval Round Table hosted by the University of Melbourne, Monday, 6th June at 6:15pm

On the night of Monday 6th June, three of Monash’s own will be speaking at the Medieval Round Table. Carol Williams will be presenting, “The Reception of Concepts from the Language Arts into Musical Discourse and Praxis (1000–1300): Guido of Arezzo, John of Affligem and Jerome of Moray on Grammar and Music.” She will be followed by Constant Mews who will present, “Communicating the Rhetoric of Music in Thirteenth-century Paris: The Contribution of John of Garland.” Finally, Catherine Jeffreys, will be talking about “The Musical Reception of Saint King Louis IX of France, 1297 to 1306.”
