The candidate is expected to carry out research on the archaeology of the Muslim Eastern or Western worlds during the medieval period, with expertise in the history of Islamic medieval art. They will be expected to teach content related to the archaeology and history of Islamic Arts from BA to MA degree. Teaching will be shared between the Department of Art History and Archaeology, where they will give classes in BA degree, and the MA degrees in « Archéologie – Sciences pour l’archéologie » and « Mondes médiévaux ». They could also contribute to the training of the PhD students in History, Archaeology and Art history et auprès de l’Université Tous Ages (UTA).
The candidate is required to have a PhD in hand, and this position is for up to 5 years full-time, with the potential for tenure-track.
