The Department of English at the University of Bristol invites applications for a Lectureship in Medieval Literature. This full-time open-ended post will focus on undergraduate teaching and related administrative support across programmes in English, with an emphasis on Medieval Literature and its reception and influence. The ability to teach Old English at undergraduate level will be welcome, as will using innovative and/or transhistorical approaches to teaching Medieval Literature to engage and enthuse students and wider audiences.
The successful applicant will have knowledge and expertise relevant to teaching Medieval Literature and Language at University level. They will be an engaging and inspiring teacher, committed to developing their teaching practice and enthusing and supporting students in their creative and critical practice at all levels.
