The AEMA Committee would like to invite applications from people interested in being the next AEMA Newsletter Editor. Currently, our Newsletter is released electronically on a quarterly schedule with a focus on the activities and achievements of our members and the association itself, but different schedules may be proposed by potential editors.
In your expression of interest, please include a brief statement on your interests and what you can bring to the role as well as an outline of any relevant skills and experience you may have. However, prior experience is not required as we will be able to teach you! We would especially encourage graduate and early-career scholars to apply, though please note that this position, like all others on the AEMA committee, is a volunteer role which would likely require an average commitment of 2-3 hours/week, at least in the initial stages as you learn the ropes.
While AEMA itself is an Australia-based association, the Newsletter Editor need not reside in Australia as all of the work and communication with the rest of the Committee will be conducted remotely. Non-AEMA members are welcome put forth an application, however, it is to be expected that the successful applicant will join AEMA if they are not already a current financial member.
At present, the deadline for this EOI will be 31 July 2021, however applications will be assessed as they arrive. Please email your application to the Communications Officer, Erica Steiner.
